The Town of Midland raised the Intersex Progress Pride flag for Fierté Simcoe Pride Week. This week is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive communities within Simcoe County that support and unite people of all genders, sexes and sexual identities.

Whereas, This marks the 13th annual Fierté Simcoe Pride, and its purpose is to create a safe and inclusive Simcoe County that supports gender and sexual diversity through services, activities, and events; and

Civic Holiday affected services:
- Town Hall - will be closed on Monday, August 4.
- Recreation Centre - will be closed on Monday, August 4.
- Mid-Pen Transit - no service on Monday, August 4.
Open-air burning is not allowed, except for cooking or warmth with a permit. Fireworks are not allowed. Visit the fire rating page.
