Today staff gathered with Deputy Mayor Jack Contin and representatives from Fierté Simcoe Pride to raise the Intersex-Inclusive Progress Pride Flag. 🏳️🌈🎉
This year’s theme is “We have always existed”. The existence of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community is not a recent phenomenon but rather an integral part of our history. Acknowledging and understanding this helps promote equity, respect, accountability, and acceptance for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

This morning Town staff and Mayor Bill Gordon gathered with representatives from local organizations and agencies to recognize and educate on the social movement "Yes In My Back Yard” (YIMBY).
