Today members of the community gathered with staff, Mayor Gordon, and representatives from the Midland Fire Department to acknowledge International Overdose Awareness Day, which takes place annual on August 31. It is with deep sorrow that the Town of Midland has lowered all Municipal flags to half-mast following the passing of Councillor Jim Downer. Councillor Downer passed away this morning, June 27, 2024. Our hearts and condolences go out to his family, friends, colleagues and the rest of our community.
