The Town of Midland has declared a significant weather event as of 4:00 p.m. March 28, 2025
The significant weather event has been declared based on Environment Canada’s freezing rain warning. The warning identifies a major ice storm taking place overnight and through the weekend.
This weekend’s forecast is likely to cause hazardous road conditions with layered ice accumulation, residents may also experience power outages and localized flooding in low-lying areas.

The Significant Weather Event has been lifted as of 4:00 p.m., March 12, 2025. The Operations team has completed snow cleanup on Town roads to comply with the Province's Minimum Maintenance Standards. See the update.
