Emergency Services

Emergency Services

Emergency services protect lives, property, and the environment during urgent situations. Paramedic services, police services, and fire services work together to provide rapid, coordinated, and effective help when it’s needed most. In an emergency, always call 9-1-1 for assistance.

The Town's operating budget includes funding for regional services from the County of Simcoe, including paramedic services, and funds Midland’s contract with the Ontario Provincial Police for local policing.

The Town of Midland and the County of Simcoe are in the very early stages of exploring whether a joint paramedic‑fire station could be feasible in Midland. There is no confirmed site at this time, and staff are not able to comment on specific properties or neighbourhoods.

If this project moves forward, it would require Council approvals and a formal public process, with opportunities for residents to ask questions and provide input. We are not at that stage yet, but if and when information becomes public, it will be posted on this website and shared on Town social media channels. Fire & Emergency Services

The Midland Fire Department ensures public safety through fire prevention, inspections, code enforcement, public education, and emergency response. It also manages public events, coordinates emergency management, and collaborates with other county emergency services.

Emergencies can happen anytime. Be prepared. Know the risks, make a plan, and build an emergency kit. A little preparation goes a long way.
