Firework Applications are Required to Sell or Set Off

Many people celebrate major holidays by enjoying fireworks displays. Fireworks can also be set off for special events or even on your own property. Under all circumstances, a permit is required.
If you are looking to sell, or set off fireworks, a completed application must be submitted before. Find all the information on our Fireworks webpage.

Today, staff, members of council, and representatives from local organizations gathered with Mayor Bill Gordon to raise the flag for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (June 15, 2024). Midland is getting some fresh new road lines!
Line painting operations will be taking place this week (weather permitting). To limit traffic disruptions, line painting will take place overnight.
You may encounter:
- Minimal noise interruptions overnight,
- work and construction vehicles with flashing safety lighting,
- overnight rolling traffic delays throughout Midland.
