Temporary Delays and Detours
Where: Midland Point Road
When: August 8, 2023 until Mid-October 2023.
Detour: Road will be open to traffic for a majority of the project. The road will be closed for culvert construction starting Monday, August 21, 2023 for approximately two weeks.
- Residents on the west side of the road crossing culvert will have access to their homes at all times via Midland Point Road.

Credit Card Payment Convenience Fee - Effective July 15, 2023

What are we doing?
The Town will charge a convenience fee of 2.4% to credit card payments for transactions in the following categories:
- Invoices greater than $3,000
- Development Application fees
- Building Permits
- Property Tax Bill payments
- Water and Wastewater Bill payments
Why are we doing this?
The Town is charged fees by credit card companies when customers make payments by credit card. Adding this ‘convenience’ fee to credit card payments recovers these additional costs incurred by the Town. No profit...
Town of Midland puts two OTF grants totalling $199,800 to work with different community projects

On Thursday, MPP Jill Dunlop met with representatives from the Town of Midland at the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre to hear from representatives about the impact of two grants from the Ontario Trillium Foundation that when combined, total $199,800. Both grants, one being a Capital grant awarded in late 2022, and the second being a Resilient Communities Fund grant that was also awarded last year.

Artists Invited to Submit Proposals for Public Art Projects

The Town of Midland is issuing a call for artists for five new public art projects. The projects include a mural at the east entrance of Little Lake Park, vinyl wraps on various utility boxes throughout Town and some beautification projects at the Town Harbour.
“Public art adds colour and interest to our public spaces and makes our community a vibrant and exciting place to live and visit,” said Karen Mealing, Manager of Culture and Community for the Town.
