Today staff gathered with members of council, as well as attendees from the public to observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30).
Patricia Monague, Culture and Heritage Coordinator for Beausoleil First Nation started us off with a smudging ceremony and prayer. Followed by words from Mayor Gordon, with other attendees sharing personal sentiments and experiences.

Where: Montreal Street; from Wawinet Street to Eighth Street
When: September 25, 2023 from 7:00am to 5:00pm
Detours: Road will open closed for majority of the day, though open one lane of traffic before and after school.
- 7am - 9am, road will be one lane. Expect delays.
- 9am - 3pm, road will be closed. Utilize Ottawa St as a potential detour route.
- 3pm, road will be opened to one lane. Expect delays.
Why: Emergency water service leak repair.

Where: The Martels Ln. from Little Lake Park Rd. to Little Lake Dog Park parking lot.
When: Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at 7:00am to 4:30pm.
Detour: Lane will be closed, though amenities can be accessed by pedestrian pathways.
Why: Parking lot reconstruction.
