Cast your lines off at Midland Town Dock! Attend the annual Kids Fishing Derby, June 1 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
What to expect:
- The free event is open to all youth in the community, up to the age of 16.
- Each participant will receive free bait as well as a hot dog, juice box and a participation prize.
- A few lucky anglers will also win a new bicycle and helmet at the end of the event (must be present to win).

Yesterday, Town staff gathered with Mayor Gordon to raise the flags at Town Hall for YIMBY Week! Mayor Gordon shared some important sentiments about the message behind "Yes In My Back Yard". Thank you to the local organizations who were in attendance: Redwood Park Communities, Shelter Now, Guest House Shelter, CLH, Wendat Community Programs and Chigamik Community Health Centre.
