The Town of Midland has issued two calls for artists with an application deadline of May 6, 2024 at 4:30pm. The Town of Midland boasts many historical murals within the downtown core and during the past few years, has installed murals at the Harbour and in parks as well as wrapping utility boxes in the downtown and throughout the town.

Winter Sand Removal Program 2024

Every spring crews start the Winter Sand Removal program. This yearly maintenance is essential in keeping our roads, sidewalks, parking lots and other areas safe and clear from dust and debris.
The program takes place in the early spring and runs until the end of May. Overnight sand removal operations may take place in areas where there are numerous pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, vehicles and on-street parking during daylight hours. Where: Section of Third Street will be closed, between Easy Street and Yonge Street.
When: Friday, April 5, 2024 starting at 10:00a.m. Expected to end 6:00p.m.
Detour Suggestion: Avoid the closure by utilizing parallel roads (Fourth St and Second St).
Why: Emergency Sewer Lateral repair.
