Drive for change at Midland’s Inaugural Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament
For Immediate Release
(August 16, 2024 – Midland, ON) The Town of Midland announces the inaugural Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament to be held September 6, 2024, at Brooklea Golf and Country Club in Midland. This is an opportunity for the community to putt for a purpose with proceeds supporting the Town’s Community Grant Program.
“This tournament is more than just a day of golf; this event will create a long-term, sustainable and positive impact in support of many local, not-for-profit programs in our community, while reducing the burden on the tax levy.” said Mayor Bill Gordon. “I want to personally thank our many sponsors, donors and participants who have already committed to supporting Midland.”
Registration is open to golfers of any skill level. The cost to play is $200.00 per player ($50.00 tax receipt provided). Players can register as a single player, group of two, or a group of four. The day includes an 18-hole tournament, chances to win prizes, a silent auction, a prime rib dinner and more. Golfers will enjoy lunch before the shotgun tournament starts at 1:30 p.m.
The Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament would not be possible without the generous support of the event sponsors and donors. Top sponsors include:
- Coland Development Corp
- Dr. Neil Gajjar
- Bourgeois Automotive Group
- Kaitlin Corporation
- Delbrook Group
- Newmarket-Tay Power Distribution
- csolve.ca
- The Sarjeant Company Ltd.
- Canadian Tire
- The Seasons on Little Lake.
Golfers have a chance to win a brand-new 2024 Ford Bronco Sport sponsored by Bourgeois Motors at the Hole in One hole.
Join Mayor Bill Gordon, Council and staff on September 6, 2024, at Brooklea Golf and Country Club for a day of fun, philanthropy, and community spirit.
Non-golfers who want to support the tournament may purchase dinner-only tickets for $85.00 per person including tax and gratuity. Space is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. Join us for a gourmet dinner by visiting the Town’s website at midland.ca/golf.
