organization that has addressed community health and social needs for 127 years; and
Whereas; VON Simcoe County nurses, home support workers, community service coordinators and many other staff and volunteers have been caring for the lives and well-being of residents of Midland since 1991; and
Whereas; VON’s nursing, health promotion and support services make a contribution to the health care system in Ontario; and
Whereas; VON week is a time to recognize the vital work happening in our community, engage in conversations and share their positive message of every life lived to the fullest and their work in making every day as full of meaning and hope.
Therefore, I Bill Gordon, Mayor of the Town of Midland, do hereby proclaim May 19- 25, 2024, as VON Week here in Midland.
