Midland raises flag for Midland Sports Hall of Fame Week

Members of the community gathered with Mayor Gordon, staff, and representatives from Midland Sports Hall of Fame to raise the flag for Midland Sports Hall of Fame Week in Midland. Thank you to the Midland Sports Hall of Fame for their dedication to the community.

For the last three decades, the Midland Sports Hall of Fame has shone a light on the incredible talent, dedication, and passion of our local athletes, teams, and sports leaders.

This year the Midland Sports Hall of Fame celebrates their 30th year anniversary and their 15th year of inductions. Today we raise their flag in celebration of these achievements and recognize their dedication to our community.

The Midland Sports Hall of Fame was created in 1994, by a group of passionate local volunteers. Their contribution to our community in preserving the legacies and stories of local athletes will continue to inspire future generations.

The Midland Sports Hall of Fame is free to visit and can be found inside of the NSSRC. From hockey to lacrosse, from fencing to skiing, the Hall captures the vast sporting achievements and the people who have contributed to our history.

Congratulations to the Midland Sports Hall of Fame. Thank you for honouring the past, celebrating the present, and look continuing to create opportunities for the future.
