What: Statutory Public Meeting for a privately-initiated application to amend the Town's Official Plan and Zoning By-law

Why: To permit the future development a residential subdivision.

The purpose of the site-specific Official Plan Amendment is to redesignate the property from ‘Greenlands’ and ‘Natural Heritage’ to ‘Strategic Growth Area 1’, ‘Neighbourhood District’ and ‘Neighbourhood Residential’ to permit of a residential subdivision.
The purpose of the Zoning By-law Amendment is to rezone the property from the Residential Zone (R1) and into site-specific zones, being: Exception Zone – RA-XX (Residential Apartment); Exception Zone – R3XX (Residential); RT (Residential Townhouse); and Exception Zone – EP-XX (Environmental Protection Zone). This rezoning will allow for a variety of residential uses on this property and identify lands for environmental protection.

Should these proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment applications be approved, a Draft Plan of Subdivision application is anticipated to be submitted to the Town at a future date.
