The Town of Midland is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Rhonda Bunn, a seasoned senior executive with extensive experience in innovation, change management and strategic oversight, will join the Town as its top administrator on Monday, July 17, 2023.
“Council is excited to welcome Rhonda to this critical leadership role in our municipality,” said Town of Midland Mayor, Bill Gordon. “Her years of practical experience in both provincial and municipal senior leadership, coupled with her “can-do” attitude and desire to help us realize our strategic goals around responsible service delivery, development, growth, infrastructure management, community safety and workplace culture, made her an ideal CAO for this Council and our municipal service delivery team.”
Ms. Bunn, a graduate of University of Western Ontario, joins the Town with over 23 years in various leadership roles. Rhonda served as the Chief Administrative Officer at the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio from 2020-2022 and most recently, the Assistant Deputy Minister/Chief Information Security Officer with the Government of Ontario.
A visionary leader with an extensive background in IT as well as executive and transformational leadership, Ms. Bunn has specialized in strategies that harmonize processes, people, and technology to institute positive change and encourage cost and time saving ideas and solutions throughout her distinguished career.
Ms. Bunn will take over the role from Acting CAO, Andy Campbell, who will resume his role as Deputy CAO. Campbell has served in the Acting CAO role since former CAO, David Denault, retired in January 2023.
Ms. Bunn looks forward to working with Town staff and Council to serve the residents and stakeholders of the Town of Midland.
