Town of Midland launches 2025 Budget Engagement Survey
For Immediate Release
(July 31, 2024 - Midland ON) The Town of Midland wants to hear from residents about what’s important to them for the coming budget year with the launch of the 2025 Budget Engagement Survey on the Town’s Budget 2025 web page.
“Council values input from residents and business owners all year round, and feedback is of particular importance as we embark on the process of preparing the 2025 budget,” said Mayor Bill Gordon. “Last year over 400 responses were received through the 2024 budget survey, and we hope to gather even more input this year. We want to land on a budget that sets the Town up for financial stability while continuing to provide the core services our residents and visitors have come to expect and enjoy.”
Results from the 2025 Budget Engagement Survey will be included in the 2025 Draft Operating and Capital Budgets presented to Council at a regular Council Meeting in early December 2024. Following that the full draft budget document will be available to the public on the Town’s website.
Budget review will continue throughout January 2025 with a Council and public Q & A period, presentations by Town-supported Agencies, Boards and Commissions; a budget Public Meeting where residents can weigh in on the draft budget; and finally, deliberations over a three-day period in mid January 2025, leading to adoption of the 2025 Operating and Capital Budgets.
To visit the 2025 Budget web page for key dates and to participate in the survey, residents, business owners and visitors can visit midland.ca/2025budget.
The Town’s 2025 Budget Engagement Survey is open until October 15, 2024.
